Start with textiles. New throw pillows, a cozy blanket, and a couple of soft area rugs can transform the feel of a space without adding any meaningful weight.
Swap out the lighting. Many factory fixtures are functional but boring. LED puck lights under cabinets and warm-glow bulbs in main fixtures completely change the mood.
