Decorating Your RV for Christmas

Published November 28, 2024

Just because you're living the RV life doesn't mean you have to skip Christmas decorations. In fact some of the coziest holiday setups we've ever seen have been in travel trailers and fifth wheels.

Start with the outside. String lights along the awning, wrap a wreath on the door, and don't forget a small inflatable for the campsite. Many RV parks have decorating contests during the holidays — you might win a prize.

Inside, go small but festive. A 3-foot tabletop tree, garland along the cabinets, and battery-operated candles in the windows create a warm holiday glow without taking up valuable space.

Use Command hooks instead of nails so you don't damage your walls, and pick LED lights to keep the power draw low if you're boondocking.

Most importantly — enjoy it. The holidays in an RV have a magic all their own.
